I'm KRSHH an 18-year-old self-taught dev from a village in Bastar called Konta (transl. 'corner') which is in Sukma district. idk if its a conincidence that all three've got a funny name.
My dad opened the village's first computer shop in the middle of an active insurgency, and when I was five he handed me a laptop with unrestricted internet, and thats a huge privilege.
Konta is a village in the Red Corridor, you might know it if you are not genz. Because of which it is one of the most militarized areas in the country. after half a century of chaotic fighting, finally peace prevailed this year, all that just to go under a dam's backwater any year now, so my family scouts relocation.
School was ten years of wandering. I topped the district entrance to a boarding school and quit in five months because I was homesick. Seven schools in total. Jumped a grade to get away from bullies. Wrote my 12th boards at sixteen and bombed it, got 72% - that doesnt get you anywhere in India btw, infact, actively sabotages you. You'll get to know ahead.
In September 2024 my chemistry teacher asked if I still code, that question took me surprise - How does she remember a thing I told around 2 yrs ago about the thing I used to do in pandemic?, I took that question as a spark and continued doing work and reached 'flow state' ig. which is why I got active in many forums met cool people like Ken.
I just keep doing random stuff every now and then trying to make music, 3D enviroments (asset flipping), maps, history. A few months back I found a P0 in a mental-health therapy company tens of thousands of patient records, therapy-intake leads. Another app had Hundreds of thousands of PII records exposed through BOLA. All disclosed and fixed. The first one probably saved lives, these are the type of things that make me feel good, when the work is closest to the humans.
The colleges took one look at my 72% in Class 12 and closed every door - even with a series of endorsements behind me, even after grinding to the final interview (I got to an interview AFTER getting rejected, that is probably the first time that has ever happened lol). Konta the corner struck me down during the interview with two powercuts and wifi down, that too contributed in the run.
I kinda stutter in all three languages I speak. There was a stretch of 2 years where I was talking to literally nobody but later on the folks I met online helped getting this problem fixed by yapping.
and more things I : chess at 1900 Elo region-level winner, and the organisers never held the next round, district-level badminton, and flying a drone over a Bastar.
Right now I'll look for non-Indian colleges, because the grass is obviously greener on the other side. and Keep building shit, get active on twitter.
